We were commissioned by the City of Ningbo to undertake the Ningbo City Resilience Study which was funded by the World Bank. The study reviewed the institutional set up and the governance system of the city in response to disasters and risks resulted from climate change. Recommendations were made to set up resilience evaluation indicators for the city; a technical guidelines on management risks from climate change.; as well as case studies on integrating climate resilience into territory spatial planning systems in Chinese cities.

We were the team leader in the expert team commissioned by the Asian Development bank to provide technical guidelines, policy recommendations, and framework for institutional arrangements enabling mainstreaming of structural and nonstructural actions for urban climate change adaptation in the People’s Republic of China. Our collaborating partners included the Ministry of Housing and Urban Rural Development, WSP and ICLEI.
